‍TEDxToronto, a leading platform for sharing transformative ideas, required a comprehensive digital overhaul to meet the needs of a growing audience in the Greater Toronto Area. Amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project aimed to deliver an accessible, interactive, and user-friendly web experience to amplify the reach of its inspiring content.

2. Problem Statement

‍The existing website was outdated, lacked intuitive navigation, and was not optimized for accessibility or modern web standards. These issues created barriers for users seeking to engage with TEDxToronto’s content, particularly during a time when digital accessibility was paramount.

• Redesign the website to provide a seamless, intuitive user experience.

• Research & Collaboration: Worked closely with the Marketing team to understand user personas and core brand values. Conducted usability testing to identify pain points in the previous design.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Designed comprehensive web flows and wireframes in Adobe XD, ensuring all interactions were clear and aligned with user needs.
• UI Design: Created a modern, visually engaging design using Adobe Illustrator, integrating TEDxToronto’s bold aesthetic and brand colors.
• Web Development: Built the site using custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Webflow to deliver a responsive and scalable platform. Focused on mobile-first development to cater to a diverse audience.
• Testing & Iteration: Performed extensive cross-browser and accessibility testing to ensure a high-quality user experience.
